This reminds me a bit about the advice I got when I first started querying: to have a rejection budget. Like, my goal is to get 100 rejections this year. Because in order to do that, you have to make at least 100 submissions. Perhaps 101.
Love the idea of a mistake budget. I will be putting it to use immediately. But I fear it will be used up quickly. Then I'll use my nap budget to reset.
